ABOUT
I grew up in the Arkansas River Valley, where the isolated forests and rolling hills inspired in me a sense of wonder and a love of the dramatic. My family taught me to revere literature, history, and art, and to my young imagination, our forest was Camelot, our windy cliffs were the Yorkshire moors, our pastures were the battlefields of Rouen. As for me, I was The Lady of Shalott, Jane Eyre, Joan of Arc. By the time I hit middle school, I had a repertoire of great characters I adored, epic poems memorized by heart, and stories I loved to act out in the solitude of nature.
I was 8 years old when I told my mother I wanted to be an actress. I took acting, dance, and voice lessons from elementary school on, and as a high school-er I became an awarded member of the Arkansas Repertory Theatre’s acclaimed young artist program.
In 2009, I was granted a National Merit Scholarship to study at Oklahoma City University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BM in Music Theatre, and I received recognition as the Most Outstanding Female Senior in the Bass School of Music, an honor voted upon by the entire music faculty.
Upon graduating, I moved to New York City. Since then, I have performed in multiple television shows, films, regional productions, and NYC festivals, concerts, and readings. I am a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association. My favorite roles include Mary Poppins, Sarah Brown in GUYS AND DOLLS, and Jane Porter in TARZAN.
FUN FACTS: I am a vegetarian, I practice yoga, I love the outdoors, and I have run a marathon. I studied abroad in Paris, I play both the piano and guitar, and my favorite book is Jane Eyre.
